How StrongLife Helps You Live A Healthy Life

healthy

It’s fair to say, we’ve all been doing our bit to stay healthy the last 18 months.

And for many, me included, it hasn’t been the easiest, has it?

Lockdowns brought their own challenges, along with impacts on our mental and physical wellbeing.

And now that it feels like we’re out the other side of it, we’re all doing our bit to put ourselves back together, and get on with life again.

And that means that many are adopting healthier lifestyles, and aiming to address those long-standing dreams/goals.

Whether that’s losing a few stone, building back up strength, having the fitness to play with the kids/grandkids, or overcoming those aches and pains that have crept in over time.

So today, I wanted to run through why 100’s of people have chosen StrongLife to help them live a healthy life in 2021.

Here we go…

My Principles Of A Healthy Life

First and foremost, I’ve got a strict “no bullshit” policy in place.

That means no mental diets where you’ve to starve yourself just to drop 7lbs (and end up putting back on 10), no need to buy/drink supplements or swap out foods you love for crying into a bowl of kale.

Rule #1 of diet/nutrition is – sustainability.

If following a certain type of diet has you losing your mind after 2 weeks, then it’s not going to be a long-term fix.

In fact, you’re probably going to end up swallowing pizza and inhaling ice cream once you break it.

In terms of training, strength is a very valuable asset.

Now I don’t mean everyone has to become a powerlifter, but building a good level of strength has so many benefits to daily life.

Taking the lid off jars, carrying all the shopping bags from the car in one go, lifting and carrying the kids, dragging your partner out of the pub because they said they’d be home 2 hours ago, etc.

Not to mention, as we age, we need to hold onto muscle mass, bone density, and strength so we can age gracefully without fear of trips, falls, poor posture, and more.

Also… being strong is really cool!

But besides the training and nutrition, the overall aim is to build healthy habits each day, week, month, and year.

Becoming more active daily via a step count is a good discipline to have, and should be a non-negotiable.

Time away from the phone, TV, news, work emails, social media, etc., is massively beneficial, especially over the last year.

Build other aspects are vital too.

Like getting 7-8 hours of quality sleep per night, spending less time on screens before bed, drinking more water, getting fresh air, and experiencing a bit more of the country on hikes and trails.

Look, gyms are cool and are a brilliant place to help you become stronger, leaner, more confident, and fitter.

But I always want to see clients use their training as a means to benefit their life as a whole, not just within these 4 walls.

I honestly don’t care as much about the vanity aspect of training as I do about seeing clients using exercise and nutrition as a means to build themselves to a healthier and happier life.

To get themselves away from places of being self-conscious, low in confidence, and towards a place of more fun, craic, confidence, sex, adventures, and a more fulfilling life.

Because that’s really what it’s all about, isn’t it?

So what does that mean for you?

How Does StrongLife Help?

The key aspect to StrongLife is personalisation.

Every single person that comes through my door is unique in terms of ability, fitness levels, training and injury history, goals, and where they’re at mentally.

The one thing I pride myself on is meeting you where you’re at.

If you’re super unfit, nervous, or have never been in a gym before, that won’t matter.

Everything is about taking you from where you are today and helping you move towards where you’d love to be.

And if you’re already into fitness but need more structure, we can hit the ground running from Day 1.

But no matter who or what, I dedicate time to getting to know you and building your training plans to suit YOU.

If you’ve lower back issues or any injuries, we can work around those and find exercises that keep you pain-free, moving, and find ways to challenge you safely.

If you’re looking to build strength, then that’s music to my ears.

Having competed in powerlifting, I love nothing more than helping someone add kg’s onto a bar and hit PR’s!

Want to build an impressive physique?

Awesome, I spent most of the last lockdown investing time into the scientific principles of muscle building, so you’re in the right place.

And if you’re looking to lose weight, super!

Let’s get to work on building those healthy habits, becoming more active, and we’ll hit some workouts to help with your shape too.
