Membership Terms & Conditions

Upon subscribing as a member, you are automatically deemed to accept and agree to be bound by these conditions of membership.

Members of StrongLife are bound, as a condition of membership, to comply with the rules set out herein. This is to ensure that the facility is properly and safely used and that all Members have full advantage of it without interfering with the enjoyment of others.

Membership

All StrongLife memberships are charged a recurring monthly payment via the “LegitFit” platform. 

By signing up to StrongLife, you consent to a recurring monthly Direct Debit payment (which represents a month advance payment for that month’s membership).

You acknowledge that this recurring Debit Direct will continue to apply until you cancel your membership pursuant to these terms and conditions.

If you pay by other means than Direct Debit, you are fully responsible for ensuring your renewal is met. Failure to pay promptly will lead to your gym passes being removed and you will need to rejoin as a new member.

You are obligated to make every Direct Debit Payment every month regardless of non-attendance, except where the cancellation terms below are met.

Bookings

It is your duty to book your sessions via the LegitFit app in advance. If you turn up for a session without booking, you will not be given priority to equipment/racks/coaching, and may not be allowed to train.

If a session is booked out, please add yourself to the “Waiting List” in your app and you will be notified if a space becomes available.

Unused sessions in a month cannot be carried over to the following month.

Session Time Adherence

Please make sure to adhere to the session time you have booked. Arriving late or to another session time may not be permitted if booked out. If it happens that you run close to the start time of another session, please be mindful and free up your rack for the arriving people.

Also, please adhere to the session start time. If a session time is 4pm, then arriving 20-30 minutes beforehand is not permitted.

No Shows And Session Cancellations

You MUST cancel your gym sessions a minimum of 3 hours in advance. This is to allow sufficient time for those on the Waiting List to take up the space.

***Please cancel your session within the LegitFit app as texts to staff may go unseen.

If you cancel within 3 hours of your session, you will LOSE your pass for that session.

This will potentially mean you run out of gym passes before your membership renews for the next month.

Please be advised, No Shows are completely unacceptable and impact, not only gym sessions but other members who are looking for spaces.

If you No Show 3 times in a month, your membership may not be renewed.

For Personal Training, if you No Show or Cancel your session within 3 hours, you will lose your session without a refund.

For early morning PT, you MUST cancel your session by 9pm the night before, otherwise, you will lose your session.

Cancellation

It remains your responsibility to cancel your own membership.

You expressly acknowledge that if you do not cancel your membership before the end of your next renewal period you will not be entitled to any refund

To cancel your membership, you MUST contact Colm or a member of staff in writing to do so. Verbal cancellations are not available.

In order to cancel, you must give 21 days notice prior to your renewal date.

Choosing to not turn up to the gym does not signal your request to cancel your membership and payment will still be collected on the renewal date.

Cancellation requests MUST be issued in writing via email with the subject line “Membership Cancellation”.

You can use either “colm@stronglifegym.ie” or “stronglifegym@gmail.com

Once cancelled, a minimum stay period of 30 days is required before membership can be taken up again.


Should you wish to rejoin after cancelling, you will rejoin at the newest membership rate. (A waitlist may also apply).

Holidays/Membership Freeze:

Membership freezes are only available in the following circumstances:Medical reasons or work relocation.

Memberships can only be frozen once for a minimum period of one month up to a maximum period of three months in a 12 month period, entirely at the discretion of the management.

No freeze shorter than 28 days is available.

Refunds:

All membership payments are final - no refunds will be provided.

Refunds are not available for unused membership/packages/sessions.

It is your responsibility to request any amendments to your membership in advance of your renewal date.

Gym Etiquette & Member Expectations:


Be friendly to one another and help others.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions/for help/coaching.

If any equipment you need is in use, be nice and ask when it may be available. Sharing is caring.

Leave your ego at the door. Everyone is here to better themselves.

Respect equipment and others. If you damage equipment, you will be expected to replace it.

You agree (at your own cost and expense) to obtain medical evaluation, clearance and judgement from a doctor before undertaking any strenuous exercise in StrongLife. You agree to promptly inform StrongLife management in writing, of any and all medical illnesses which may be detrimental to your health if undertaken in conjunction with the equipment or training programmes.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fit to use the facilities and members should inform us in writing if any health or any medical conditions experience change, or if the member feels that they require further consultation.

You acknowledge that StrongLife takes no responsibility for any member’s lost or stolen equipment or possessions, which remains at your sole risk.

You agree that all weights and equipment must be put back after use.

Contact Boundaries:

All queries/contact needs to be done between the hours of 9am and 7pm on weekdays.(Unless directly related to a morning gym session)

Any queries sent outside of hours or over weekends/public holidays will be responded to on the next working day.

When a member of staff is on holiday, they are unavailable for contact. Contact information will be available for the staff still on duty who will happily take care of everything.

Amendments: 

StrongLife management reserves the right to amend and add to these “Conditions of Membership” as it sees fit. The member shall observe any amended or additional conditions or rules so made.
