Online Weight Loss – Half a stone in 2 weeks

A few weeks ago, I had an offer about some free online weight loss coaching for 3 people up on FB and my email list (yes, I’ve an email list where I send out valuable nuggets weekly).

So we’re into the 3rd week of it now and it’s going solid with everyone recording nice weight drops.

But one of the guys has made savage progress so far.

In 2 weeks, he has dropped half a stone and is feeling confident in being able to get back to his best for summer.

Not only that, but he’s getting back in control of his food which is going to benefit him massively in his pursuit of his goals.

It’s Nothing Sexy But It Works

I’d love to tell you we done something fancy, but the reality is this:

Instead of telling him what to do, I spent time understanding why he was currently in the position he was in.

That way, I get an idea of what the last 6 months has been like and what we need to work on first.

So for anyone that has gained weight to a point where they’re unhappy, they’ve been over-consuming calories for an extended period of time.

So the main task was to get back in control of his food and be consistent.

It’s about breaking the habits of overconsumption, managing his calories and steadying the ship.

There’s no feeling of hunger and there’s no restriction or deprivation.

Once the weight loss slows down, then I’ll start looking at further changes to make.

But right now, it’s a case of “Don’t fix what’s not broken”.

Why I don’t do generic food plans:

Part of the reason I don’t do generic food plans etc. is because I need to understand why a client has got to where they are now.

I need to get to know them more so I can develop a system for them that will work.

Anyone can beat you into the ground for 6 weeks and make you lose weight, but that’s not going to address the underlying issues that caused it in the first place.

And that’s what I believe coaching should be about.

Developing an understanding of your client and helping them realise their old habits and helping them develop new and more positive ones.

So, we’ve 4 more weeks of coaching left to go and I can’t wait to see how much further he can go.

I know how much it will mean to him so I’m delighted for him to see such progress already.
