Nicola Mooney’s StrongLife Success Story
Today is the day Nicola takes over and tells you a bit about her StrongLife Story and Success.
Yesterday, she wrapped up her final session on our 8 Week Shift A Stone Challenge.
And she is well impressed with the progress she has seen!
So let’s jump in and see what Nicola has to say about StrongLife:
1. What Made You Join StrongLife.
GAA training had been going since Feb 2017 but I felt I needed to add more variety to my training regime.
I had tried other gyms over the years but struggled to stick with it or see results.
But from seeing results from my sister (aka Sham) and other friends, I decided to join Stronglife in May 2017
2. How Have You Found Your Progress Here?
There’s an array of different programmes available to cater for everyone and their own goals.
I’ve done the 6 Week plan here and lots of different training plans all tailored for me.
The variety of workouts and the new found strength I started see really showed me I was on the right track.
3. Tell Us About Your Recent Success On The SAS Challenge?
In January 2018, I took part in the S.A.S challenge.
Although I knew I had a good level of fitness and strength, my weight had always been an issue down the years.
Along with a new structured diet, this programme was to be the start of me seeing new results and progress.
The different weekly programmes were tough but soon the hard work was beginning to pay off.
After 8 weeks I have lost 4kg and 8 ½ inches overall.
This has boosted my confidence and has given me the push to achieve more with my training.
And I’m proud to say I’m fitting into clothes I haven’t worn in years!
4. What Makes You Stay?
The atmosphere, the people, and the “no pressure” vibe makes coming to the gym after a long days work worthwhile.
I have also been able to incorporate my GAA training around these sessions, which is what I wanted.
Regardless of questionable music and horrendous jokes it’s a friendly place for anyone to come into.
I’ve really gotten to know everyone in there and there’s always a bit of fun to be had.
I just want to say a massive thanks to Colm for his encouragement and commitment as a trainer.
I’d recommend Stronglife to anyone looking for new challenges and who want to see results.
(P.s no more burpees , sincerely everyone!)
A Big Well Done
Nicola has been a great addition to the gym as she’s super friendly, always has the craic and keeps manners on me too!
Nicola is a hard worker, not just in the gym but outside of it. If she’s not at work, she’s playing or coaching football.
Throw in the fact she manages to keep tabs on 2 daughters as well and keep them going to training etc and still make time for the gym is a real commitment.
And of course she hails from the mighty Geevagh where we seem to have attracted quite the contingency from.
Although we do argue over minor things, it’s great to see Nicola happy and seeing great success here!
Well done Nicola!
